The story starts with a young(ish?) married couple seeking something extra, an escape from repetitive daily grind with an injection of excitement. We dream of the beach bum life with our pooch, and are constantly brainstorming business ideas to get us there.. we are Danielle, Marc & Luna Wheelhouse.
Marc has a huge passion for cars and I am all for travelling. I have always been fascinated by the vintage 1960’s campers however never travelled in one. On a recent trip to Dorset we pulled up to next to a modern VW camper (a 2017 white California Ocean to be exact), two young surfers hopped out with blow up kayaks. I vividly remember turning to Marc who was totally on my wavelength then we both said, ‘this is what we need to do’.
We always said that due to our careers grounding us to home to a certain degree; we’d happily share the love and offer camper hire to happy campers out there as a sideline business. We plan to use our campervan as much as possible between hires therefore we want people to treat our van as though she was theirs, with the greatest care and respect!
