If this is going to be your first VW campervan adventure or even if you’ve done this before you may well have a lot of questions so please read through our FAQ’s below.

We are here to help you and to make sure that you have the best possible time in our campervan wherever that may be! So if you have further queries after reading this please don’t hesitate to send us a message.

Is there a minimum hire duration?

The minimum hire duration is 3 nights. We can offer discounts for longer periods, in excess of 10 nights. Please email for further information wheeliezzz.bookings@gmail.com

Where do I collect Lagoona from?

The collection of Lagoona will be from Stock in Essex where there is secure parking to leave your car whilst you are away.
We are based in Stock Essex approximately 45 minutes from Stansted Airport and 35 minutes from Southend Airport.
If you are travelling to us without a car we would be happy to pick you up from our nearby train stations.
  • Nearby train stations are either Billericay (2.5 miles) or Ingatestone (3.7 miles).
  • We are 15 minutes outside of Chelmsford.
  • 10 minutes from the M25.
  • Approx 1 hr 15 from beautiful Suffolk areas and not far from other gorgeous camping locations such as the Kent coast, The New Forest and Dorset.

When can I collect/drop off Lagoona?

Lagoona will be available for you to collect from 12pm & we ask you to return her no later than 11am. Bringing her back late will void your insurance and you will incur a fee per hour late you are.

*Please remember to fill her back up with DIESEL before you drop her back off to us. It is a full to full service, if the tank is not returned full the cost will be taken from the security deposit.

Do you charge more for hire over Bank Holidays?

We we charge a premium for National Bank Holiday weekends of £40.00 on top of the hire cost.

*Please note this additional cost may not be reflected on the availability calendar cost overview – we are currently working on that functionality.

Where can we travel to?

You can take the campervan to where your heart desires within the UK, we do not currently allow trips to the EU, please ask us about trips to Ireland.

We ask that you are sensible and ensure that you a staying in authorised overnight areas. We will not be responsible for any fines or tickets you incur. Insurance is built into the price, however we charge additional mileage fees of 25p per mile for any adventures in excess of 1000 miles.

What age do I have to be to hire?

You will need to be at least 25 years of age & no older than 75 with no more than 6 points on your license.

What information do I need to collect the campervan?

We will need to see your driving license and an alternative proof of address, e.g. a utility bill from the last 3 months, on the day you collect Lagoona.

How does insurance work?

Fully comprehensive cover will be issued through Day Insure for one driver. The driver will fill out their details and pay for insurance two weeks before the pick up of the campervan. We cover the cost of up to £20.00 per day and this cost will then be deducted from your total rental invoice.

  • you must be at least 25 years old.
  • have less than 6 points on your license.
  • you must have held a full valid driving licence from the UK, EU, EEA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Switzerland for at least the last 6 months.
  • your trip must start and end in the UK.

Other important points:

  • Cover applies only while the motorhome is in the UK and the rest of the EU.
  • Day Insure upload our temp policies to the Motor Insurance Database (MID) 4 times a day.
  • Day Insure’s short-term motorhome insurance is comprehensive and is provided by Aviva, one of the UK’s biggest insurance providers.

We charge a security deposit of £500.00 that we’ll take on the day of collection. This will obviously be refunded on the safe and clean return of Lagoona, please bring her back as you found her with a full tank of diesel.

Can I bring my dog?

Of Course! We are dog friendly camper – we charge an extra £25.

We allow maximum of 1 x medium sized dog (i.e. Boarder Collie) or 2 x small dogs (i.e. Jack Russell).

We will ask the breed of your dog/s in response to the booking request.

How do I book?

The easiest way is to click on the prices & availability tab, and select your dates & submit a booking request via our website.

We then ask for a 25% deposit on the day of booking & the balance to be paid 2 weeks before your adventure starts. If your hire commences within that 2 weeks then we request full payment up front.

Can I use my child seat in the camper?

Yes you can, the seat will have to be used the conventional way as the camper doesn’t support ISOfix.

There are 5 seats, 1 drivers seat & 4 passenger seats.

We ask that you use the child seats in the front of the van as these seats are covered, if you’d prefer to use the back seats please bring something to place down before fixing the seat.

How many seats does the camper have? How many people does it sleep?

There are 5 seats, 1 drivers seat & 4 passenger seats, all with seatbelts.

However the campervan sleeps 4 people maximum. We ask that you hire the drive away awning for bookings of more than 2 people.

The pop top has a total weight limit of 150kg so we may ask the ages of each guest.

What's included in the price?

The nightly rate includes the hire of the campervan, insurance (up to £20 per day), unlimited mileage up to 1000 miles & a full tank of diesel on pick up.

Optional Extras

  • Duvalay Luxury Memory foam sleeping bags + pillows – £20.00 for two singles and two pillows.
  • Bedding for pop up top – £15.00 includes duvet, duvet cover sheet and two pillows.
  • 8L solar pressure shower  – £10.00
  • Drive-away awning 2.8 x 2.9m for additional living/sleeping space – £35.00 (We strongly suggest adding this to your booking if the party is larger than 2 people).
  • 315L Extra Storage. Thule Easybase & Easybag provides more room for sports equipment (excluding bikes) luggage etc. The bag is fully waterproof and comes with a lock. – £45.00
  • We are more than happy to fulfill special requests such as a picnic hamper or fizz for special occasions, please contact us for prices.
  • We welcome you to bring your small/medium sized dog, additional cost is £25.00.
